Multi-Tenant: Some people refer to it as portals and sub-portals. Native app available in iTunes/Apple and Google (Android) – very few vendors have native apps. The system as a whole is quite robust including digital signatures, online/offline synch and a very nice UI. E-Learning 24/7. Mid size and up.

Works even when offline. Web conferencing vendors can establish themselves to expand beyond the meeting standard. Feature set is rich – think of the possibilities, even with a learning management or learning portal system. Offers offline reading. What makes Dropbox so effective? Bottom Line.

Even if the product is a desktop product all you need to do is upload the course to your own web server, use the vendor’s web server or via a LMS. Online/Offline synch. Bottom Line.

Interestingly, a large portion of LMS vendors have not optimized their products for the iPad/ iPad2 and with the exception of two content authoring tools, HTML5 capabilities, specifically the ability to output a course in HTML5 does not yet exist. 69% Self contained app for tablets with online/offline synch. 62% Voice enabled.

30% vendors offer at least one type of social media – from my latest LMS directory. Dozens of LMS vendors, had typos on their web pages, zero screens of the system, links that went nowhere and two kicked up my Firewall warning of possible privacy collection and one had a Trojan Horse (I use a hardcore firewall and A/V).
