The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. SaaS eliminates the need for IT on your side, less headaches and thus the responsibility of any issues being handled by the vendor.

I mean if it looks grainy, maybe the expansion option for that vendor is not your best choice. I love the new option some vendors are pitching “HD&#. Vendors who offer the ability to upload your PowerPoint, word docs, slides, etc. Upload your PPT or docs or whatever ahead of time. Number of frames, Quality.

Resources – docs, video/audio files, podcasts, PPT, etc. Part of the problem I had with the administrator side was the lack of a home dashboard. Courses under subject headers – example “accounting” Courses can be online or ILT or both. You can drill down under a subject, so you have a sub-subject area.

Cannot move slides in the arrange mode – i.e. once you upload the PPT with the slide order, you cannot move say slide #9 to spot #4, rather you have to do this in PPT and then re-upload. One item that I found very cool with Mindflash is the ability to share the course via Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and e-mail.
