Go to the store and you will see the laptops and home desktops coming out with the 64 bit version home OS, better yet, there is a 64 bit browser for IE, which is slightly different than the regular IE browser. NexLearn (Simulation tool) – their uber robust sim version will cost you nearly 13K for one license, their base version (Simplicity) $999. Platte Canyon – Toolbook 11 (full version) $2,795 per license. SoftChalk 7 $1,200 (desktop), $795 (cloud) – per license mind you, again at $795 a bargain! Fear and Tin Can.

They offer a SaaS version, but that is fee based. They have a freebie version which has an appropriate number of feature sets, then they have paid versions for individual and organization. The freebie does not offer SCORM nor monitoring, but has social learning, assessment tool inc. They are in no particular order.

I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. A major, major improvement from previous versions, but I digress. Web Conferencing Integration. If you do not have or use IE, you can download a desktop version to build, sort of defeats the purpose of SaaS. As aforementioned the amount of fonts you can use is unbelievable, plus the ability to choose the various types of text colors is in alignment with many web site tools, and rarely seen in course authoring tools.
