#WomenInLearning Series: Megha Shah

March is Women’s History Month, and the theme this year is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”

To celebrate the stories of women in the learning and development field and multiple education spaces, we reached out to internal and external partners and thought leaders to talk to them about their professional lives and the stories that have inspired them.

At ansrsource, we believe in the power of storytelling to educate, connect, and enrich people’s lives. We are grateful to the women who chose to share their stories with us. We hope you enjoy learning about the women we spoke with as much as we loved speaking with them.

Happy Women’s History Month!

Megha Shah, Manager – Brand and Marketing at ansrsource

What is your favorite part about working in L&D?

I am very inspired by our organization’s mission to foster learning cultures within organizations and to build high-performing teams in this fast-paced business world. Every day at ansrsource feels different than the last, and I am beyond excited to be a part of changing how organizations and people learn and grow.

Who is a woman you look up to?

I have always looked up to Jessica Alba. As women, we are often pressured into choosing between a career and family, and often compromising on our bucket list in the process. However, Jessica has never been one to make any kind of compromise—she is a model, an actor, a producer, a director, a businesswoman running a unicorn company, an investor, a wife, and a super mama to three kids. She is the literal definition of “having your cake and eating it too.”

If you could pick one piece of popular culture to expose your community to, what would it be?

This may not be new to most, but the Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway film “The Intern” is an absolute gem of a story. It talks about how people from different walks of life can forge unbreakable bonds and how there is something to learn from everyone’s experiences and journeys. It also brings up the pressures every working woman faces on a daily basis, and how a little support can go a long way. A “must watch” if you feel like you’re not enough, because the truth is—you always are!
