5 Tips For Managing Effective Blended Learning Through An LMS

Upside Learning

How often have we heard our clients lament about the main function of the Learning Management Systems (LMSs) – that they are largely concerned with the management of learning rather than the process of learning itself? Sin embargo, si existe una compañía que puede lograr eso, definitivamente es Articulate. Siempre he admirado a Articulate, incluso cuando trabajaba para Adobe como evangelista de productos como Captivate y también, eLearning Suite.

Writing & Grammar: Do You Need a, Comma?

The Logical Blog by IconLogic

by Jennie Ruby    Do I need a comma after "In 2008"? That is one of the most frequent questions I am asked in grammar classes. The answer I must give is that the comma is usually optional. So for them, and for you, if you are seeking definite answers, I must dig deeper.

When I started talking about mobile, I thought it was interesting adjunct to desktop computing. In fact, in my early (2000) article on mobile learning, I said “Soon there will be essentially no distinction between mLearning and elearning.” And I admit that I was wrong. At least partly. Let me explain. It depends on how you define elearning.

How a Cat’s Failure Illustrates a New Learning Tactic

Living in Learning

One never knows when validation to an idea might show up, or for that matter, show up in such an unrelated way. Then again, maybe what first appeared unrelated was meant to shine the light on something that truly is relevant, though subtle in its presentation. So what did all that philosophy mean? I am forced to blame this observation on my cat, Gracie, more specifically; her umpteenth unsuccessful attempt to catch a bird.

In the image below, notice that there is white space above the SWF (just below the browser's menu bar).    Admittedly the space that appears above a SWF isn't huge and it's not something that I had spent time thinking about.
