Scenarios: What are they good for?

Making Change

“Why do you want to use scenarios?” your client asks. “Why can’t we use the quizzes that we’ve always used?” Sometimes the best way to convince a client is to show them through examples. What exactly does an E-Learning Manager do?

E-Learning Provocateur

I read somewhere once that the best employees don’t take any notice of their job descriptions. In other words, they work out what needs to be done and they get on and do it. PowerPoint: Find and Delete Embedded Fonts

The Logical Blog by IconLogic

by AJ George  Last week  I covered how to embed fonts in a PowerPoint presentation. On the flip side, what if you receive a presentation and have issues opening it because of an embedded font? This seems to be a relatively rare issue, and may not affect you (or the person receiving your presentation) if you used a fancy script font. The problem seems to be more related to the inclusion of certain fonts in the system, like Asian fonts that read the opposite direction.

Did Cavemen Use Social Learning?

What mattered about learning was reduced to its simplest form - what could you DO with whatever you learned.

You MUST Do This When Designing Training

If you forget to do this one thing when you design your training, be prepared for potentially hours of rework and a lot of finger pointing. In our field, it isn't easy to get cooperation from subject matter experts (SMEs). From what I can tell in my own personal experience, SMEs never have "the time" to be bothered with training; getting their input can be like pulling teeth - this can cause quite the dilemma.
