Using Video in Training: Should You or Shouldn’t You?

Not only is video popular, there’s a lot of evidence that they’re an effective addition to your training program. What’s lacking is evidence that shows what kinds of videos are effective in learning—that is, result in measurable change in behavior. In 2017, video platform company Kaltura issued its fourth annual survey-based report on the state of video in education. Instead, engagement seems to plateau again between six to twelve minutes.

This recent post suggests more tablets were received/activated on Christmas Day than smartphones fueled by our sustained interest in gadgets to help inform, entertain and hopefully educate us in times of need. Part of this trend is less about the tablet being a better form factor than a smartphone but more about the tablet being a more practical and cost effective alternative to a standard issue laptop.
