PowerPoint or Prezi: Which is Best for eLearning?

The question is becoming more and more common — “Should I use PowerPoint (PPT) or Prezi?” But whereas PowerPoint tends to progress linearly from one slide to the next in a fixed sequence, Prezi uses “paths” to move between content by zooming out to reveal a big-picture overview, or zooming in to show details. Many people don’t consider PowerPoint as a capable graphics editor since its main function is to create presentation aids. Perhaps this is because older versions of PowerPoint (2003 or below) didn’t have as many graphic editing options as never versions (2007 or higher). Basic effects (such as drop shadow and soft edges).
