I am a big user of Flash and find it to be one of the most effective tools in my e-learning toolbox. Earlier this week I was very disappointed to learn Flash will not be included in the Apple iPad. Now that I got that out of my system, here are a few resources on the history of Flash.

Currently, the most common way to publish a Captivate project is as a Flash SWF, an excellent solution because SWF files provide the best multimedia experience for your learners. Your learners do not need Captivate installed on their computer to use an SWF, but they do need a modern web browser and the free Adobe Flash Player.

It exports to HTML 5 as well as Flash, although I'm not sure they've perfected this yet. This is a big deal, because iPads and iPhones don't support Flash. Given that every other delegate here is using an iPad rather than a laptop, you can see how important it is to get this right. So what's special? That's a shame.
