Skills for the Future

Sure it depends on the subject, I mean Journalism usually involves learning skills from reporting, to typing, to ledes etc. Effective writing too. Compared to say Philosophy. They can’t see you, thus tone becomes critical. Grammar becomes relevant again. The skills to acquire here go beyond how to open a file.

I had journalism degrees. I knew effective learning, scenario based learning a result of teaching at the inner city level and having the kids inspired to learn in an engaging and interactive process. It can be effective if done right. Books, presentations, blogs that state follow the PPT mantra. It was far from it.
