One of the comments I received on Network Effects - YouTube - Video Blogs and More that had a video hosted on YouTube was: We see and hear more and more about corporate content published on YouTube. I somewhat understand why MySpace might get blocked (28%) but given how many people are using Facebook for business connections, blocking it at almost the same rate is a little bit of a surprise. But most surprising - LinkedIn being blocked by 7.9%.

One of the digital literacies I identified in yesterday's blogpost was effective social networking. Most of us have a Facebook account, and maybe a LinkedIn account too. Lots of us use Twitter, and some of those out on the periphery may still be using Myspace or Bebo.

Yesterday my wife got a message on Facebook from a friend asking for advice on how to handle a young teenage girl’s use of MySpace. I’ve seen discussions and blog posts about appropriate use of social tools like Facebook , Twitter , LinkedIn and FriendFeed in the workplace. Are usage guidelines effectively defined? It’s shifting to be more proactive, e.g. how do we build social learning tools our employees can use effectively?
