And it worked very well with my Macromedia Flash when I was getting started in e-learning. Articulate Presenter was around well before eHelp (one of the leading companies) was purchased by Macromedia that was purchased by Adobe. I imagine that many of you seasoned elearning developers cut your teeth in a PowerPoint-based product. These tools didn’t get their start in 2007.

Michael was, of course, the creator of Authorware, a highly powerful tool from the CD-ROM era, which Adobe eventually gave up on after they inherited it from Macromedia. In effect, to give us back what we had with tools in the 1980s and 90s. Since its demise, the market has been filled almost entirely with rapid tools. That's a shame.
