Flash CS4 allows us to finally publish SWF files for Flash Player 10 - the latest version of Flash Player. Overall FlashCS4 does look like a great improvement and would help eLearning developers immensely in improving the quality and efficiency of development.

The most important one is Adobe removing restrictions on SWF and FLV/F4V specifications. So one can now develop software that can actually “play” SWF content. That’s an easy game with Flash tools and I doubt HTML5 can compete there until we see some sophisticated designer-developer tools come up. How’s it going?

Adobe has some great development tools like Flash Builder, Flash CS5 which target the runtimes – Flash Player and Adobe AIR. Adobe has released SWF specifications till its version 10. The pace of development, however, is really very slow.
