I tell them they need to go beyond dumb technology. Innovating in the face of change. Yet dot-com mania’s article of faith was that the technologies of the Internet essentially made human beings irrelevant. Vendors don’t make money from informal learning. Everything I need is in there, but it’s up to me to find it.
