Good post by Harold Jarche - Where are open source learning applications? In it he points to the learning space and says that the current status of open-source learning applications is: Innovators - Elgg Learning Landscape and several others Early Adopters - Moodle and a few others Early Majority - nobody Late Majority - forget about it I would tend to agree with him that there are relatively few open-source learning applications, but would add a few thoughts.

This presentation will be an overview of the different methods in the planning, producing, publishing and promoting of hybrid podcasts with instructions on the building of a 508 compliant podcast. This workshop will provide participants with new concepts and augment their skills to current guidelines on the accessibility of emerging technologies. Method of delivery will be a hybrid podcast via the web with interaction either via email or a forum.

OK.today we have two reasons why having a browser built on open source code with a powerful and passionate development community behind it, will continue to provide a more robust and user-focused experience than something provided by say a large corporation - no knock on large corporations (some of my best friends.). Well now you can just create your own widget that loads up that page from a bookmark that you can have on your desktop w/out having to open the whole browser.
