As an enterprise community manager, I am often faced withvaried user questions and needs. Moreover, from an enterprise context, finding relevantcontent at the point of need is of paramount importance. Enterprise platforms will also need to give users greaterflexibility and the ability to create personalized lists, follow tags, and soon. I am sure those days are not too far away and social business platformslike Jive and SocialText are improving by leaps and bounds.

Some items of interested that were discussed today: Tiddlywiki Mediawiki OpenWiki The Heavy Metal Umlat video by John Udell List of opensource wiki engines Some interesting points for me were that there are some IT departments that DON'T know what wikis are. this from Andrew McAfee Ross Mayfield said that in four years of building wikis for corporations Socialtext has seen precisely 0 trolls and 0 instances of vandalism. I was astonished by this and polled the entire room.

Web 2.0 Applications in Learning

It could just as easily have been called Web 2.0 Applications in Learning. It was designed to be a small to medium size group discussion, but because the room was large it was very challenging to do that successfully.
