As 2012 draws to a close, its time to evaluate how in focus my lens on the future of enterprise mobile learning proved to be this past year and how many of my year ago predictions hit their targets. Whatever it is, this one is music to my ears after many years of toiling away to make mLearning a reality for the enterprise.

Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Extended Enterprise – System must have e-comm, multi-tenet – fully skinnable, additional functionality.

The Extended Enterprise blog post and directory will be visible this weekend. Now some of these systems will offer hosted on your own servers – if you demand it – but their goal is to have it “in the cloud” What about Extended Enterprise or academia/education? Extended Enterprise. Doesn’t matter.

Are they better suited than anyone else for Enterprise or Extended Enterprise? SuccessFactors – Just for those folks to remember, SF is owned by SAP and had acquired Plateau. They haven’t been Plateau for a few years, so stop calling them Plateau – a pet peeve of mine. Enterprise.

You will always find products that are not well known yet receive rave reviews or “best buy” How many times do you go into your local supermarket and compare the generic version X to the brand name? Plateau is long gone and buried and people should realize that.
