Clearly this is a different use of PLE's than those outside the firewall, for free rangers, and for learning from everything of personal interest. And they are not, therefore, PLEs.

I'm hoping to address questions such as: How do you create a personal tool set or Personal Learning Environment (PLE) for yourself? This sounds a lot like a personal learning environment, personal knowledge management (PKM) and personal work and learning environment (PWLE) and PIM. Getting Things Done is the classic example of this.

Stephen Downes commented on my recent post - Personal Work and Learning Environments (PWLE) - More Discussion and said - I am opposed to the trend coming from the corporate learning side of the house to treat PLEs as work tools. Stephen's very much correct about a PLE being for the person. It is an interesting issue.
