This is my expertise, even without the fancy letters after my name. My point is this: I dont think Im that unusual. I was an SME.

Mistake #3: I did not leverage the power of the Internet and the various options available for interaction, communication, collaboration--at least till that point. The primary mode of communication (during the initial phase) was e-mail, whose ineffectiveness I soon found out to my grief. I learned better as time progressed.

When I draw a blueprint of an ideal enterprise learning environment, it always includes an expertise location function. In early 1999, I told Cisco’s eLearning group that IM was going to become a powerful learning support tool. IM was kid stuff. Skeptical or not, I had to try it. Unbelievable.
