My family was visiting, and my mother was telling me that I don't post enough pictures of my kids on facebook. What I didn't realize was that my mother often saw pictures of her grandchildren on facebook and clicked the SHARE button to share it on her wall. In the age of facebook shares/likes, Twitter retweets, and other social media sharing tools. I do believe what a curator does for a museum is different than what a my mother does for her facebook wall.

You can share the content in Facebook with your Facebook friends. People do this all the time, with web conferencing solutions that are not integrated into their system, or video being streamed on another server, etc. These trends and a few others are starting to peek up, and will continue to do so.

After all, many have a blog, wiki, rss feed, a Facebook like page, with profile, inc. expo clearly shows and some argue that social media some grew up within the web 2.0 With APIs and mashups, who knows where it can go. If you could have your real time Twitter, Linkedin feeds, Facebook and some other social media capability, and your end user did not have to open any other screens, what is the likelihood, that your system would increase in sales?

If they were doing it, Facebook like page, a crummy blog that looks nothing like a real blog, a Twitter like feed, maybe RSS, text chat and YouTube functions and upload/download angle. You could count on your hand the number of vendors even looking at it, and I’m not just talking LMSs/Learning Portals, but content authoring tools and other products. Vendors are adding more “comments&# and voting i.e. yes or no or thumbs up/thumbs down features.
