Saba Social is a very solid product, that despite a few hiccups and “huh&# moments, achieves what it sets out to do, provide a user friendly social experience. Generally speaking, nothing innovative – there is so much potential there and it is wasted – I mean this can be a really awesome product, but they missed the boat. Facebook. The person who views your profile can click any of the icons and go to the site.

LMS Products of the Year 2010. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. If you are seeking TM as your focus and you want one of the big dogs – I found Plateau’s system to offer appropriate functionality for it, but found some real concern in other areas (see my product review). The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad.

Illogical – I often see systems that add features that seem as though they tossed a bunch of ideas on a wall and whatever stuck up there, went into their platform. Go to some vendor sites and try to figure out what exactly are they offering. Their sites seem more interested in pitch and filler rather then showing the product and its key features or functions.

Thus, just saying modern UI and adding as a result a great user experience is thoughtful, but seriously, how many times have you seen a product that looks cool, but whose user experience stinks?
