thumbs-upOne of the biggest challenges for anyone who is implementing a learning management system is finding a hosting provider that is both reliable and scale-able.

Elearning is content heavy, which include videos, images, audio, and the like. There is a lot to maintain, so the hosting must be powerful enough to deliver the content without negatively impacting the user experience with slow load-times and outages.

The trouble is, sometimes the hosting provider with the best marketing isn’t necessarily the best provider.

Let me explain what I mean…

For some of you reading this article, you may have a Moodle site intended for many courses and users. In our particular situation, we needed to have a demo site delivering mock-courses using the LearnDash software – we had to find a hosting services that was capable of handling larger file sizes and active users.

Long story short, it was not long until we outgrew our shared hosting plan from one of the popular providers (we originally went with them because they had a strong market presence).

Fast Forward to Today

After plenty of searching (and yes, multiple switches) we have found an exceptional service provider in LightningBase. We were initially interested in them given that WordPress hosting is their specialty – naturally a must for the LearnDash plugin.

But features are one thing… what is most impressive is their dedication to quality support.

Rarely do our sites go down. When they do, a ticket is responded to in minutes (not hours) – even on a Saturday!

We have been so impressed with their service that we recommend them to all of our customers. Heck, they’ll even transfer your entire site for FREE to their servers (just ask).

This is not a sponsored reviewed, but an honest recommendation based on first-hand experience.

If you need to host a learning management system that is built on WordPress (or even just a regular WordPress blog or site), then the quality and care offered by LightningBase is simply unmatched.
