Is there a max size and number of Cp slides limit? Asking for a colleague. I have a 430 slide project which publishes to a 391MB unzipped Windows Executable.exe and either loads with a grey circle icon with exclamation mark in it or just a black screen. If I remove a few slides (from anywhere in the project) it loads fine.

Keeping the parts focused and “bite-sized” helps prevent overly dense content. Smaller file sizes. Takes less time to produce and approve individual parts. Content updates only require revisions for the affected parts, not the whole course.

Most rapid authoring tools work best with the MP3 file format, and if you’re dealing with narrations, there’s no need to export higher than 128 kbps (CD quality). You could export to 320 kbps but that kind of quality is unnecessary and will just be a larger file size.

When we tested out of the LMS, we saw some strange effects but wrote them off: surely the great and powerful LMS would handle the files more seamlessly. Recently our customer Paul Thrippleton raised a CPTX file size bloating issue in forums. We worked on it and have found out that the issue is seen because of the audio files (.wav wav and.mp3 files). According to Lele, "Adobe Captivate customers have always been very active on the forums.

File sizes also seem to be very small; perhaps because of the plain text nature of HTML5. It’s also able to deal with embeddeded/nested movie clips, which is quite cool and allows for complex animations that would otherwise be a struggle to create using HTML5’s canvas element.
