Have you ever thought about how graphics’ file sizes impact elearning courses? Warning: Images you download from your company network or from stock image sites are not optimized for elearning. Use Custom Images Over Stock Images Where Possible. Stock images are very useful in a range of different situations and for many types of e-learning course. In fact, there are likely to be stock images in all the e-learning courses you create or have developed. However, don’t make the use of stock images your default position.

Use pictures to tell a story. Don’t use pictures as mere decoration or ornamental elements. Ask yourself if adding a specific picture or graphic serves this purpose  if it doesn’t, leave it out. The internet is not an stock image library. File size also matters.
