A few important terms related to pixels you might come across include: Resolution: size of the image in pixels (ex: 1920 x 1080). Pixel density: the relationship between resolution and physical size of screen (ex: 1080p, or ppi: pixels per inch). Tips for resizing images: Maintain aspect ratio (ex: 4:3) to avoid distorting your image (stretching or squishing). PNG vs JPG. But there are, indeed, a bajillion different file types.

File (from the Menu Bar) –> Export. You’ll need to change your File Type if it defaults to “Create PDF / XPS ” 4. Since I am always looking for ways to keep my file size low, I select. If you have more than 1 slide, PowerPoint will save each slide in your presentation as a separate file in the folder. You’ll now have a file with that background. I like using the PowerPoint backgrounds in my Cp projects.

If, for example, your website theme has specific image placeholders (as most themes do), you’ll have to check their aspect ratios and crop your images to fit in them. For a polished look, try to keep widths and heights consistent, and avoid having widely varying image sizes  it looks arbitrary and unprofessional. File size also matters.

Select from File > Open > via the menu bar at the top of the screen. You should save drafts of images you edit as a PSD file. To save an image as a PSD file, click File > Save as to open the dialog box. Select the file format as Photoshop and specify the location you want to save the file to. You can also choose to save a compressed version of the file in a web standard like JPEG, PNG or GIF. Image size. Canvas size.
