Question from a reader, hoping you can provide your thoughts: I am in the process of selecting an elearning tool that is easy to use, quick to create the demos and does not bloat the file size much. These videos would have software demos, screencasts and PowerPoints embedded inside them. Qarbon Pros: Less File size.

It is recommended whenever possible to import a wav file, when published it will be compressed to mp3 by Captivate. Backgrounds : backgrounds used in project, master slides or created when recording a software simulation. That folder will store the images created with MathMagic.

If a series of screen caps are used to simulate the system they should all be the same resolution, same file type, and in the same position on the course’s screen. Having lots of images or videos in a course, like screen caps or recorded walkthroughs, increases the file size. Opportunities.

Adobe Captivate - The course will contain many "try me" sims for a software upgrade in which we are implementing. In this case I am making the course itself in Flash.
