And in a comment, I mentioned that the recent launch of the new Firefox browser was prompting me to switch. The rationale for the switch is that I don’t completely trust Google and Apple with my data. I had used Safari over Chrome because I trust Apple a wee bit more, and Firefox was a bit slow. Apple missing the small picture

I hardly miss it on my browser (I have a Firefox extension that blocks it unless I explicitly open them, and I rarely use it; and I browse a lot )! And I don’t care a fig about the claims about ‘openness’, which in both cases are merely a distraction. Frankly, I haven’t missed Flash on my iPhone or iPad.

And yes, Firefox supports 64 bit. Firefox 3.0+. Trust me, people will go online and download. If you had bought a Vista machine you could have purchased one that was 32 bit, since many machines were not 64 bit. I have 64 bit. I only get products that support 64 bit. Many vendors support this. Who uses it? But forget Netscape.
