Second, on November 4th (tomorrow), the behind-the-firewall release of Second Life will go public. Rumor has it that pricing for the behind the firewall Second Life Enterprise starts at $55,000 and that it will be handled by a value-added network of service providers (see more below.) Firewalls - You can certainly install tools behind the firewall. You have to decide about inside the firewall vs. SaaS, but this shouldn't hold you back. So, yes, you have to set up policies and alert people just like you do around any form of electronic communication (email, IM). No problems getting things here.

Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Using FaceBook Im trying to expand my horizons a bit these days and have been taking a closer look at a whole bunch of tools out there, including SecondLife and FaceBook. No firewall or technical infrastructure. Im interested in how one would mix communities. Thats about as far as its gone.

Tweetdeck Im officially hooked to Twitter and use Tweetdeck to organize and group those I follow. Not only is Twitter great for the occasional laugh, but also a great source of information and links. But Gcal helps me keep myself organized, and now that Ive discovered CalenGoo for the iPod Im all synched up. maybe Present.ly
