We wrapped up our free elearning webinar on Models for Learning in a New World. 9) When introducing these new learning methods, I have the impression that the resistance from organisation is lies more in the new role of the training department rather then new technologies. Dozens of LMS vendors, had typos on their web pages, zero screens of the system, links that went nowhere and two kicked up my Firewall warning of possible privacy collection and one had a Trojan Horse (I use a hardcore firewall and A/V). Social Media & Social Learning – LMS Style. E-Learning 24/7.

Some notes: Polls: Most attending work in L&D with some HR, IT, and learning services providers. Current learning delivery channels primarily ILT classroom and ILT online as well as a fair amount of self-paced e-learning. Other notes: Definition of social media vary among attendees (~160). Nearly everyone dispersed.
