Even one vendor who only offers desktop has a forum setup for collaborative and peer review services. Worse, printing it out and handing it off to be marked up by your SME or another staff person. Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools? Mobile Learning. They output only to HTML5.

Yet, a majority of vendors in the e-learning space as a whole, are just not doing it. The LMS space is a major culprit here, because there are vendors who offer mobile learning management systems, or m-learning solutions within their LMS. Oh, yeah, social learning. Many vendors service multi-conglomerates that are international, rather than companies that are based only in country x and no where else. Another small trend is providing advanced admin capabilities in the form of admins who have CSS, Flash,PHP or other languages. Personally, I think this is a mistake. Mobile Learning.

Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. You get the Flash code – YES – you get the code, which you can do whatever you want with it. 264 codec, which the iPad supports, and a few browsers for HTML5. Many vendors hyping PowerPoint to Flash angle as key feature.

Virtual classrooms and smart-boards are used in a more student-centered way (not putting all the attention to one person up-front=bad). Learning Analytics 6. Mobile learning sub-disciplines will begin to emerge. Mobile learning development for tablets will become one of these sub-disciplines. The Future is Mobile 3.
