Notes: Price: Captivate is the most affordable at $899, with a subscription model that is even more affordable if you only use Captivate occasionally or if you upgrade every year. Lectora is $1600 for the core e-learning software, while their Inspire suite with extra multi-media tools is $2500. So which tool is best? It depends!

Studio ’13 is a very nice upgrade that features new Engage templates, additional quiz questions (including drag-and-drop), feedback layers, HTML5 publishing, characters, and a unified player, among other things. ( Studio ’09 could not output to HTML5, so it was a non-starter for iOS delivery. Software Simulations.

Retina screen – software recordings. However to record a Video Demo or a Software simulation you did have to edit the AdobeCaptivate.ini file. Just one tip: if you are on Win10, check the Display setting before recording (both Video Demo/Software Simulation). Some are mentioned in the documentation, some not.

If Flash player is enabled in your browser, you can test this movie (SWF) online in my personal blog. You can download the published HTML5 version from this link.
