It captures the mouse movements, clicks and on screen changes along with any narration audio which can be recorded through attached microphone lively and in sync with the capturing screen. Annotations, instructions etc are automatically generated based on the user’s action while in recording.

Given that trend, I hope readers aren’t surprised when I leave instructional design off my list. Soon, elearning job descriptions will not even mention instructional design or ADDIE, as they almost always do now. Since Flash is not supported on iPads, the rapid elearning tools have been useless.

The reason behind this is that maybe a professional microphone is not used for recording (which can be understood since it’s a small startup) and above. When I told them the voices in the video aren’t clear, they replied, “we’re sorry but we couldn’t afford a good quality microphone. Hence, the quality isn’t that great”. Guess what!

For audio, make the appropriate connections with the wireless microphone system and ensure the audio levels are within an acceptable range.
