While the race is on for people to get LMSs and LCMSs, there are some people who either do not want or need a LMS/LCMS, but want to create a learning community or more often, some type of portal – intranet or internet. They may call it a “learning portal&# or “training or knowledge portal&# or whatever. Thus the key is to find one that truly meets the content management system – learning approach, rather than just a web site content approach.

They want to know about free tools that they can use to build their elearning courses. All you do is open it and then you can pick a color from any part of your computer screen. Audacity is an open source audio editor. I usually record my audio directly in the rapid elearning tools. When I’m done I just import it into my rapid elearning course.
