On the customer side, if you are the client of said “been acquired” vendor you may be asking yourself, what can I do? From my experience, vendors do have some options. See if there any loopholes.

Trials – Learning Systems

In the good ol’ days vendors listed trials on their web sites OR if you liked what you saw in the demo, you asked them via the phone or e-mail for a trial. For the vendor, it was a potential win, way better than no one reaching out to them at all.
