The hype cycle theory holds that new concepts and technologies are initially little known, and thus little discussed, when they emerge from their Innovation Trigger – the point at which someone dreams them up, and only a small group of cognoscenti knows of them.

This trend is more mature than the others: Gartner says it is finally headed to the mainstream. The xAPI is another trend that was being talked about several years ago.

For our debut post, I met with Jonathan Satchell, CEO of the Learning Technologies Group (companies they own include LEO, Rustici, Gomo, Watershed LRS, PeopleFluent, Eukleia, PRELOADED, Vector VMS) to ask questions about LTG and the space in general. There are some learning system vendors though, who are xAPI only and offer nothing else.
