Geolearning. When GeoLearning changed to Express, I was fortunate to stay with the more advanced one – and still received updates. Ditto on the 3rd party content, including one vendor who figured out how to create a video with bookmarks and chapters that streamed without issue on a 56K modem. Sadly, Bookstore.

You might have chat rooms (my system, the one I initially built, and then the one I purchased – GeoLearning), forums, discussion boards, a library (mine did, including checkout capabilities), even classrooms (the appearance of them, I never used it). Still in existence Saba – Today? SumTotal called it SumTotal Maestro.

LMSs that went to a whole new level GeoLearning – had a version that, on the user side, enabled you to have, say, not just your logo behind a desk – it was 3D the UI version, but also the carpet (colors all matched yours – now that is white-label). They noted that one of the widgets (which can be changed), is in this area.

Old-school LMS companies (like SumTotal , Plateau , Learn.com , GeoLearning and Certpoint ) were acquired by much larger talent and HR-suite providers like SAP/SuccessFactors , Infor , Oracle and IBM. You may recall that almost a decade ago, an acquisition wave took the LMS world by storm.

And in 2002, many more – I used Geolearning – it offered lots of informal options. Even video learning platforms. Then during training, you can say, we do this via upload content – which also takes other types of content too – video, audio, ebook, PDF, and so forth. There were systems that offered it.

Video galore. Prediction #7 => Video Takes Off It's been amazing to see how the bandwidth in most organizations finally reaching a point where video can be pushed out as part of our solutions. It's also amazing how simple it is to capture video. And video is close to being possible out to mobile devices.

Although you could use the product as a separate video and publish to YouTube, Vivemo, one of their products, your desktop and I think the web (I admit, I forgot the last one, but you get the idea). The interface you showed was similar in many ways to the old GeoLearning 3D look back in 2002 (which Geo eventually dumped – too bad).
