In addition to data from the World Bank, they have data from the California Department of Education, U.S. Tools Cloud Google Cloud ComputingYou can create charts and visualizations with public data sets. I created the examples below from data provided by the World Bank. The amount of data provided by the World Bank is impressive.

While Google's regular web search is likely the fastest way to find information on a specific subject, the Google directory is particularly useful when you're not sure how to narrow your search from a broad category. It can also give you an idea of the scope of a given category, such as the number of newspapers in California.

As of now, there is no formal credit system, but in February 2013 the American Council on Education recommended five MOOCs for credit and the California State Senate is currently considering a bill that would allow students to receive credit for taking MOOCs.

He used a variety of different resources and particularly used the California Gold Rush Historic Maps from the David Rumsey Map Collection. Of course, my son read the Wikipedia California Gold Rush page (it comes up first in Google).
