There are a number of ways to host a webinar, but most often they are live events that either inform or train the audience with the opportunity for the audience to provide input via chat. At TechSmith we use video webinars for a number of purposes: in-depth demonstrations of our more complicated products, highlighting the success of our customers, a few times we even stayed up for 24 hours straight for our 24 in 24 and 48 in 24 video series. With the combination of faculty-wide training and TechSmith Relay, OC has been able to meet their goals, and boost student retention and completion rates overall. . To view an example of that, feel free to jump over and view a webinar I hosted on that subject. While video can be a great learning tool, there are a lot of things to be careful of. Your viewer may lose interest. They may check out mentally, or assume the information will be given elsewhere.
