Two components are the shining stars – Presenter and Quizmaker. Engage is the only product you can edit the HTML – using a HTML Kit. It is easy to use and once you learn it, easy to push out content. Granted the changes are limited but at least it is something.

I am trying to use some flash I've created in Articulate Quizmaker and Captivate. In theory it should be working but instead of writing to the variable, it is writing to the screen as a new HTML page. The problem I am facing now is how to communicate with the flash objects I use in Lectora.

Despite what Articulate might say the most used products within Studio are Presenter and Quizmaker. Engage isn’t – which is a shame, because it is only one you can edit with HTML Kit (shh it’s a secret) and the Encode – I have always believed was a toss in.

There was another part of the presentation where I specifically focused on Articulate Quizmaker and Engage. I’ll do a more detailed overview of using Quizmaker to create branched scenarios in Articulate’s Word of Mouth blog. I’m working a lot with scenarios at the moment, but using HTML and Javascript.

One HTML/Flash template gallery site I’ve gotten some ideas from is [link]. I love Articulate Presenter, Quizmaker and Engage, and I consider this a great advance in authoring tools. I’m too am intersted in learning how you did the cool annotation within Articulate. I could see a lot of use for that technique.

Technically, a skilled programmer could probably get Articulate to do that by adding their own HTML or JavaScript, but Snap! Slide view and branching in Quizmaker. You do have to have someone put together some script to help “translate” what data from the course go into what fields in the database, but they provide guidance one that.
