We may have all been drinking the same cool-aid, but at the IMS Global Learning Consortium Learning Impact Conference in Toronto, there was a meeting of the minds. The IMS is at the cutting edge of web 2.0 open and flexible architectures. LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) in particular has cracked the LMS open.

And then the IMS (an initiative of Educause before being spun out as an independent effort) started creating standards, as did the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the major body in the US responsible for computing standards. People access resources, e.g. how to videos, and job aids, that may impact their success.
