Image Optimization and Enhancement for Faster, Clearer, More Accessible Content

Magic EdTech

A picture is worth a thousand words, and that’s particularly true when it comes to online learning specially for K- 12, where a kid relates more to a picture than to a text underneath it. Online publishers rely on top-notch images to communicate ideas and information; even a stray crop mark or dust speck can change the meaning of an image or make it harder to “read.”. Why Image Optimization and Enhancement Matter. Cleaning images by removing dust and stains.

Gamification of Learning and Training

Kapp Notes

In 2006, Google created a game to help it tag pictures and photos on the web. Search engines have a difficult time with image searches, and while facial-recognition software has made strides over the past decade, a new computer can’t scan a photo of, say, Robert Pattinson and tell you who it is. Google’s solution: Tap the manpower of the web by making image-tagging a game.

Capturing the moment

The picture of me on the left was taken around 1980 (from another photo collection), capturing a personal moment in time for me. It is now so much easier to create, edit, and share images over social media. Sites such as Picasa, Flickr and Facebook are full of shared images, many that have been posted to the web within seconds of being taken. Photographs are very powerful things. LCMS - Warehouse and Authoring

I’ve received some good feedback on my post Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) for Managing Course Assets.
