In the introduction to the event, they announced a number of cool innovations. They also spoke more about explaining what they are doing with the 3D virtual world vendor ProtonMedia which provides a highly interactive 3D environment focused on solving business needs in the lifescience industries.

Digitell is company that owns VirtualU a 3D virtual immersive environment that has been used for everything from meetings to rock concerts. As announced first on this blog, ProtonMedia announced a strategic partnership with RWD on heals of another announcement of a strategic partnership with Kaplan-EduNeering.

The planning for the meeting started some time ago and the innovative learning in 3D folks practiced what we preached and had our planning meetings in 3D virtual spaces. Greater Philadelphia ASTD members learn about 3D collaboration and learning in virtual worlds. One such meeting is shown below. An interesting approach.

Event By now you've probably already heard that the Microsoft Life Sciences Innovation Award 2010 has gone to a project that uses a 3-D virtual environment to hold a virtual scientific poster session.
