However, in this case the sales force is used to accessing this as MP3 and MP4 files available for download into their iPods, iPhones, etc. They do want to track this for helping to make sure that the sales force gets through the content. When I'm travelling by train or plane I might take my iPod (complete with 3000 tracks) but I rarely use it. It's the same in my office - I have a fantastic system with studio-quality monitors and headphones, I have my iPod connected to this and an account with LastFM. Now maybe I could load up my iPod with baroque music and play it while I work, but that wouldn't really be solving the problem.

I spent countless hours mixing down my favourite tracks onto cassette so that I could walk, skate or otherwise transport myself around with music as a constant companion (shouldn't be admitting to this as a fully paid of member of PRS). I know that CDs are ideal for track finding, mixing, mashing, multi-media storage and a shed load of other things, but vinyl disks always have that extra 'ambience' (I still have at least 400 LPs in my cupboard at home).
