Jing is a screen-capture and screencasting tool that I’ve mentioned before. The basic version is free and I can’t say enough about how much I love Jing. If you want to get fancy, there are a few YouTube-like systems you can set up at your organization to house video: PHPMotion (open source) and ClipShare are two examples.

Another example of this fixation with processes and tools that that we associate rapid instructional design with “rapid instructional design” software tools like Articulate, Captivate, Jing, etc. A learning designer learns very quickly that well laid plans in organizations change quickly. But Gcal helps me keep myself organized, and now that Ive discovered CalenGoo for the iPod Im all synched up. Now I stop first at Twitter.
