Jing Screencasts Bandwidth Limit

I had used Jing several times recently to create screencasts. I have been pretty happy with it as a tool, but I got a message from Jing that told me that I had nearly used up my monthly bandwidth. Luckily, viewing of my recent screencasts ( LinkedIn for Finding Expertise and Searching for Expertise - LinkedIn Answer ) will be pretty low over time. So, as a blogger, you probably can't use Jing to record things.

How to Use Enterprise Social Networks to On-Board New Employees


One important way organizations can do this is to help new people “adjust” or “socialize” into the new organization. Organizational socialization goes back a long way, and includes fundamentals like helping new employees with role clarity, confidence in their ability to perform the work, social acceptance, and knowledge of how to navigate the organization. Basically, you install the extension and then when you're on a social network or media site, with the press of two keystrokes you can pull up profile information for a person on a wide range of sites they participate on (like Twitter, digg, Flickr, etc).

They Might Not Need Training, Just a Little Support


A tool like Jing is a perfect tool to create these. social networking technology, you can empower people to have online discussions and these discussions themselves can become resources. One of the biggest challenges that learning professionals face is overcoming the reality that people forget much of what they learn from a training class very quickly after it is over. This is horrifying considering we spend so much effort creating quality training programs.

Why oh why hadn't I asked to do the Twitter presentation, I groused to myself, or the blogging one, or even the one on LinkedIn. Turns out people were delighted to learn how to embed videos and audio clips into Facebook or their blogs.
