Learning-Knowledge-Work - they really are the same and I need to do them all at once. If you make these independent and distinct, it will be really annoying for us knowledge workers.

Recognizing this learning and making good use of it requires effective personal knowledge management practices. For knowledge workers in different fields, we have an awful lot to keep up with (wide and deep), and this is becoming increasingly impossible, especially at the increasing rate of change. The author originally used the phrase, “Personal Learning Environment (PLE),” based on the theory of connectivism conceptualized by George Siemens and Stephen Downes.

I'm hoping to address questions such as: How do you create a personal tool set or Personal Learning Environment (PLE) for yourself? This sounds a lot like a personal learning environment, personal knowledge management (PKM) and personal work and learning environment (PWLE) and PIM. For example, Personal Learning , PLE , PWLE , PKM are all pretty closely related. But when I go to PLE and then look at the related Tools, I'm not seeing clear winners.

There is no Coursera, Udemy, Lynda.com and similar fare – they are not learning management systems, learning platforms, etc. In form of viewing and knowledge insight sure, but I could say the same thing about reading a book. Viewing and knowledge insight. I’m not buying the PLE, but as noted above, “Adaptive Learning” is going more along those lines, which again, to me, it is not the same. . A good tiding to you all. Ahh, the new year.
