This representation emerged from my cogitations, and while it’s not quite right, I thought I’d share it as part of Work Out Loud week. This is very much based on Harold Jarche’s Seek-Sense-Share model for Personal Knowledge Mastery (PKM).

This is definitely a knowledge work task where talking to someone will help. Yesterday I created a screen cast on LinkedIn for Finding Expertise. Today, I saw a post on our Free - Web 2.0 for Learning Professionals where someone said: I am currently trying to find a SME experienced with Moodle (a CMS/LMS) and WizIQ (synchronous web class technology). And what I often cite as the biggest change in knowledge work skills over the past 20 years is the change in access to people. Evaluating Performance of Concept Workers

Evaluator knowledge limit - In most cases, the person doing the performance evaluation knows less about the subject that the performer. To me this has heightened my sensitivity to the need for concept workers to reach out to people for knowledge work tasks in order to ensure they will receive a good evaluation.
