Situated learning (learning within context in a community of practice) grows thanks to augmented mobile reality. Virtual classrooms and smart-boards are used in a more student-centered way (not putting all the attention to one person up-front=bad). The Future is Mobile 3. Grows - But Creating "eLearning 2.0

In fact, my 12 eLearning Predictions for 2009 , was most popular post for 2009 (see 2009 Top Posts and Topics ) and it came up pretty high in the recent Top 125 eLearning Posts of 2009. In my Ten Predictions for eLearning 2008 , my last prediction was: Prediction #10 => Knowledge Worker Skills - Just Beginning in 2008, Big in 2009 The discussion of knowledge work skills is going to be BIG. This lines up with what I predicted in 2008. Specialized tools for mobile professionals.

I’m closing the chapter on 2008 and gearing up for 2009 and beyond. Keynoted Learning Technologies 2008 in London. Topic: Learning — All Change. Marc Rosenberg, Allison Rossett, Barbara Pellow, and I led Up to Speed, an event in NYC for Mimeo. Knowledge workers have replaced factory workers.
