It is fascinating how often the items I find for this newsletter form around a common theme. This week a theme has formed around how to learn which, since you’re reading this you’ll probably agree is very important. I also find it interesting that this particular topic is surfacing just as our schools are getting ready to restart on Monday. How’s that for timing!? (Now if I can just figure out a way to get my kids to read these.)

One of the most useful and interesting things I learned in the last year was not so much a specific subject or skill but a meta-skill. I learned how to learn. Basically learning how we learn will show you how you go from being exposed to a new concept to eventually forming long-term neurological connections that we call memory you can use.
