Over the last few days I’ve been working through Stephen Downes’ paper Learning Networks and Connective Knowledge. Think multimedia learning, Clark & Mayer’s “ELearning and the Science of Instruction.&# ) But their methods could (at least sometimes) be right even if their explanation of the underlying mechanism is wrong. It does seems to support creating learning environments where content can be used multiple different ways, which fits with connectivism.
